1. Purpose and Scope
This Privacy Notice explains how EEG Immigration Law Group (“the Firm,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information in two contexts:
• Visitors to the Firm’s website, including anyone who submits an inquiry or intake form; and
• Prospective and current clients whose personal information the Firm collects in the course of providing immigration legal services.
This Notice is separate from, and does not replace, the confidentiality obligations the Firm owes to clients under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct, Rule 1.05, or the terms of any engagement agreement. Where this Notice and an engagement agreement conflict as to client information, the engagement agreement and the Firm’s professional confidentiality obligations control.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide to Us
• Contact form submissions on our website (Full Name, Email, Phone, Subject, and Message, via the form at eeglawgroup.com/contact-us.html)
• Information you provide directly by phone, email, or in person
• A more detailed case-intake questionnaire, sent through INSZoom (the Firm’s immigration case management system) once a case has started (e.g., identity documents, immigration history, employment and family information) — this is not part of the initial website contact form, and is handled under the Firm’s engagement agreement and confidentiality obligations, in addition to this Notice
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
• A legacy, inactive Google “Universal Analytics” tracking element remains present on the site as part of the Weebly platform’s own built-in site-traffic reporting. It has collected no analytics data since Google stopped processing Universal Analytics properties on July 1, 2023. No other analytics, advertising, or retargeting tags were found on the site.

3. How We Use Information
• To respond to inquiries and evaluate prospective representation
• To provide legal services to clients
• To communicate with clients and prospective clients about their matters
• To maintain, secure, and improve our website and internal systems
• To comply with legal, regulatory, and professional-responsibility obligations
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use personal information for third-party advertising purposes. A direct check of the site’s scripts (August 2026) found no advertising or retargeting pixels.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We share personal information only in the following limited circumstances:
• With service providers who support our operations under confidentiality and data-protection terms: Microsoft 365 (email, document storage, and collaboration), INSZoom (immigration case management), and QuickBooks Online (billing) — the complete list of vendors handling client or website-visitor data
• With government agencies (e.g., USCIS, U.S. Department of State, Department of Labor) as necessary to prepare and file immigration petitions and applications on a client’s behalf, and only as authorized by the client
• When required by law, court order, or valid legal process
• With the client’s consent or at the client’s direction
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses standard cookies from the Weebly platform the site is built on to support basic site functionality, along with the inactive legacy analytics element described in Section 2.2, which collects no data. We do not use cookies for advertising or retargeting purposes. Given this limited use, our website does not display a cookie-consent banner.
You can typically control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of our website function.
6. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of certain personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise a request, contact us using the information in Section 10.
REGULATORY APPLICABILITY — REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY ERIN GREEN
Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) — effective July 1, 2024. The TDPSA generally exempts “small businesses” as defined by federal SBA size standards. For the Firm’s NAICS classification (541110, Offices of Lawyers), the current SBA size standard is average annual receipts of $16 million over the preceding five fiscal years. The Firm has confirmed its annual receipts are under that $16 million threshold, so the Firm qualifies as a small business under the SBA standard and is generally exempt from the TDPSA’s affirmative compliance obligations. This exemption does not permit selling sensitive personal data without consent — not a concern here, since the Firm does not sell personal data (Section 4). This rights section is therefore included as a voluntary best practice rather than a statutory requirement. Erin Green has reviewed and approved this characterization. Exemption status can be revisited if the Firm’s revenue or data practices change.
7. Data Security
The Firm maintains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, consistent with the Firm’s internal Information Security Policy (modeled on the NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0), including multi-factor authentication and the security features of Microsoft 365 Business Premium. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We retain client file information for the life of the case, plus a minimum of seven (7) years after final disposition/adjudication and exhaustion of all available legal remedies. Website inquiry and contact-form information that does not result in representation is retained only as long as necessary to respond to the inquiry and for the Firm’s legitimate business purposes.
9. Children’s Privacy
Our website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the website. This section does not limit the Firm’s collection of information about minors that occurs during the course of representation (for example, minor derivative beneficiaries on a family-based case), which is governed by the engagement agreement and applicable confidentiality rules rather than website data collection.
